How do I tell if my logs are good?
if you have bought kiln dried from a reputable dealer you should be ok. If not a log moisture meter can help you check your logs when you buy. An expectable moister content for logs is between 15-18%
Can I leave my fire in over night?
A fire can be left to go out overnight but don’t fill your fire up and turn it right down before leaving it for the night. This can cause excessive deposits in your flue.
Do I need a carbon monoxide alarm?
Saftey is almost first and foremost when running a fire so a carbon monoxide alarm is recommended.
